Synopsis: ChildTrauma Academy was founded by Dr. Bruce Perry as a Community of Practice among organizations and individuals to “translate emerging findings about the human brain and child development into practical implications for the ways we nurture, protect, enrich, educate and heal children.”  In this two-day conference, participants representing a broad spectrum of child-serving fields will learn about Dr. Perry’s groundbreaking work on brain development and consider ideas to improve resiliency, promote collaboration, and develop creative solutions that are applicable to their daily work.

Since 2012, the Building Better Lives Program has reached over 10,000 community members in Central Ohio. As a result, an infrastructure of professionals working together to learn and apply trauma-informed care principles to their work with children and families continues to grow.
