Using the Internet
If using the World Wide Web (or the Internet) is new to you, the following "links" will help you find your way around.
So what's a "link?" It's underlined text - if you click on it, it will usually take you to another webpage.
-
If you move the mouse until the cursor is over the "link," you can click on it and go to that page.
-
To return to this page, move the mouse up to the top of this page and click on the arrow pointing to the Left (this arrow may be labeled "Back") until you see this page again on the screen.

Using the Directory's Programs and Services
Q:
What services are listed in the directory?
A:
The programs and services in this directory are available from a variety of community organizations and private counselors and are designed to help parents and other caregivers cope with a wide range of challenges that come with raising kids.
Q:
What should I expect if I contact one of them?
A:
They'll help you by asking questions regarding the services you think you need, family make-up, insurance and/or household income, and the family situation or circumstances that led you to their agency. You may feel that some of the questions are very personal, but the agency needs the information in order to best serve you.
Q:
What will it cost?
A:
The costs will vary. Some agencies may offer a sliding scale fee structure for lower-income families and health insurance may cover some of the expense. Each situation is different, but do not hesitate to ask questions to make sure you understand what you will be charged for the services.
Q:
What should I ask them?
A:
Things you'll want to know include: more about the program or service they offer, the length of the program, who's eligible, what you can expect from the program (i.e. home visits, in-office appointments, how often, etc.).
Q:
How do I know who is eligible for the services?
A:
Eligibility information is listed for many of the programs and services listed in the directory. If the information isn't available, contact the agency and ask.
